Prayer Stones

Prayer Stones is operated by Bossa Nova Solutions. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

1. What We Collect

• Email address and display name (first name + last initial)
• Prayer request text you submit
• Push notification tokens
• Language preference
• Reminder settings

2. How We Use It

• Provide prayer sharing and community features
• Send push notifications (prayer updates, reminders, expiry notices)
• Auto-translate prayers so users can pray across languages
• Authenticate your account

3. Third-Party Services

We use the following services to operate the app:

• Firebase (Authentication, Firestore database, Cloud Functions)
• Google Cloud Translation API (prayer auto-translation)
• Expo Push Notifications (delivering push notifications)

These services process data as necessary to provide their functionality. See their respective privacy policies for details.

4. What We Do NOT Do

• We do not sell your personal data
• We do not serve advertisements
• We do not use analytics or tracking tools
• We do not share your data with third parties for marketing

5. Data Retention

• Prayer requests automatically expire after 14 days
• Account data is retained until you delete your account
• Answered prayers are archived and retained until account deletion

6. Your Rights (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to:

• Know what personal information we collect and how it is used
• Delete your personal information
• Opt-out of sale of personal information (we do not sell your data)
• Non-discrimination for exercising your privacy rights

7. Account Deletion

You can delete your account at any time from within the app: Profile > Delete Account. This permanently removes your account data and all associated prayer requests.

8. Anonymous Posting

You may submit prayers anonymously by toggling off "Show my name." Anonymous prayers display as "Anonymous" and are not linked to your public identity.

9. Children's Privacy

Prayer Stones is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn we have collected such data, we will delete it promptly.

10. Security

We protect your data with Firebase Security Rules, HTTPS encryption, and authentication-gated access. Only authenticated users can read or write prayer data.

11. Changes to This Policy

Updates will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.
